Build focused lists of companies based on parameters such as industry, location, size, financials and performance.       * Infotrac - search across multiple databases      General Reference Center - database of articles from hundreds of periodicals dating from 1980 to the present, with full-text and images, covering current events, popular culture, arts and sciences, sports and recreation Business Index ASAP - access academic and business journals for in-depth research on companies, industries, management topics, product development, marketing, economics and finance, forecasts and trends, and labor issues Business and Company Resource Center - integrates company news, corporate histories and profiles, industry developments, financials, rankings, market share, and associations Health Reference Center Academic - multi-source database with full text of nursing and allied health journals, plus variety of personal health information sources Health and Wellness Resource Center and Alternative Health Module - accesses authoritative medical reference materials, some 400 health / medical journals, over 700 health-related videos, plus a broad collection of reference titles        * JSTOR - offers a scholary, interdisciplinary, chronological "moving wall" of journals, mostly published over past five to ten years. Comprises over one thousand academic titles in the humanities and social sciences. This resource is full-text searchable, offers search term highlighting, includes images, and is interlinked by multiple citations and references.       * ProQuest Newspapers Includes 500+ national and international dailies, including sixteen California newspapers. Full-text articles for some 350 titles including The New York Times, Wall Street Journal and the San Francisco Chronicle       * Reference USA   business and residential database Includes some 13 million US companies & 120 million US households, with information gleaned from telephone directories, annual reports, SEC filings, plus federal, state, and municipal government data.       * Standard & Poor's NetAdvantage   Includes Standard & Poor's investment research and commentary, with access to following publications: Outlook Industry Surveys, Stock and Bond Guide, Stock Reports, Register of Directors and Executives, and Trends & Projections. REMOTE USERS: Key in Mechanics1 (case sensitive) as user name.  Password is 14-digit barcode on card.         ThomasNet   Comprehensive resource with manufacturers' product information. Search by product type, company name, location or brand name to access listings of manufacturers and distributors.           * Contemporary Authors, Hoover's, InfoTrac, JSTOR, ProQuest, Reference USA, and Standard & Poor's NetAdvantage These services are licensed Library database subscriptions.  Access is available only to current Institute members.  For remote access, key in 14-digit barcode that appears on blue member card. Attention AOL (America Online) users: The AOL browser is not functional for remote access. AOL users should download and install either Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer. We recommend Internet Explorer, instead of Netscape, for superior remote access functionality. Attention MAC users: MAC users should download a full version of the Netscape browser in order to access the reference databases remotely.
